Red Deer

Landing/Facility Fees

Landing fees cover the use of runways and taxiways. Facility fees apply to all other services and facilities on the airport and apply to all flights using the Red Deer Regional Airport.

seating configuration.

There are no landing fees for private aircraft based at the Red Deer Regional Airport.

Training flights will be charged full landing fees for the first landing of the day and subsequent landings with the same aircraft on the same day will be charged 25% of the full fee. There is no Facility Fee or Airport Improvement Fee (AIF) on training flights.

Red Deer Airport Services

Access

The Red Deer Regional Airport is a ten minute drive south of the city on Highway 2A.

Aviation Fuel

AV Gas LL100 and JetA is available from Skywings Aviation. AV Gas LL100 is also available from Hillman Air.

Nav Canada FSS operates 7/24

Parking

To park at the Red Deer airport it's free of charge.The Red Deer Airport parking lot can accommodate 200 vehicles. It is partially paved with plug-ins available ($10.00 per day fee).

Terminal Building

The terminal can accommodate up to 50 passengers. It consists of a waiting room, security screening, airline check-in counters and the NAV Canada Flight Service Station. Baggage handling arrangement can be made with Sky Wings aviation. There is also a Pilots Information Kiosk (PIK) equipped with a computer located off the waiting room. There is free WIFI in the terminal.

Minimum Monthly charge to all RDRA users is $12.00 (invoiced monthly). All charges are subject to a 6.5% administration charge + GST. All overdue accounts are subject to a 2% per month charge.

Airport Improvement Fee

Airport Improvement Fee - A $10.00 Airport Improvement Fee applies to all regular and charter enplaning passengers on aircraft with a seating configuration of 9 or more.

The aircraft operator must drop a passenger manifest in the box provided in the Pilot Information Kiosk (PIK) located in the terminal building arrivals area prior to departure. If this is not convenient for the operator then the Charter/Sched company must supply the Red Deer Regional Airport with a passenger manifest by the third working day of each month. The enplaning passenger numbers can be emailed to yqfadmin@reddeerregionalairport.com or faxed to (403) 886-4398.

If the operator fails to comply, they will be invoiced at a rate of 70% of seating capacity based on the manufacturer’s specifications as registered with Transport Canada. The operator is responsible for the collection of the AIF and must remit it to the Red Deer Regional Airport within 30 days of invoicing.
